When a Steam broadcast of Super Meat Boy is active, the player cannot control meat boy any longer. It happens with both controller and keyboard. Meat boy (or the character he plays) starts to stutter, gets frozen randomly and can't move correctly.
How I tested this / How to reproduce:
I entered the Super Meat Boy Steam hub > Broadcasts tab > started viewing a broadcast (it starts only when the first viewer is there).
Many times, as soon as the broadcast started, I noticed how the player couldn't control Meat Boy correctly. He was freezing in the same spot / stuttering / I don't know exactly how to explain it. I even talked with some of them in the stream chat, and there's no workaround for it. They tried exiting to main menu, restarting level, etc. None of that helped.
Maybe it has to do with the Steam API. I don't know.
The issue occurs on the NORMAL version of the game. (not the beta) Some of the players confirmed they weren't playing any beta version. The other players didn't chat (maybe they don't know English).
What you need in order to test this:
- A friend / tester who plays the game and you start watching his broadcast
- A friend / tester who starts watching your SMB broadcast.
You'll notice immediately that Meat boy starts to act odd / becomes unresponsive / and gets stuck.
Can you look into this issue and possibly fix it? Thanks in advance.
